Tested to the depth on your case back
Pressure testing
Every time a case back comes off, the seal is disturbed. That is why we renew all three seals and then pressure test the watch to the depth stamped on its case back, rather than to one standard figure for every watch. A 300-metre Aquaracer and a 50-metre dress watch are not the same job.
You get the printout, so you can see the figure your watch has been proved to. If a case won’t hold its rating even with new seals, something else is wrong, and we tell you while the watch is still on the bench.

Why not have the battery changed while I wait?
Fitting a battery takes minutes, but the seals and the pressure test are what keep water and dust out. We replace all three seals and test the watch to its rated depth, and that is done properly on the bench rather than over a counter.
