When refurbishment makes a difference
Is it worth doing?
- Everyday scratches have dulled the finishCareful refinishing brings back the contrast between brushed and polished surfaces.
- The bracelet looks worn next to the caseRefinishing the case and bracelet together gives an even finish.
- The watch is going in for a full serviceIt’s a good moment to refinish the case too, while it’s apart.
Keeping the shape of your watch
Done with care
Good refinishing removes as little metal as possible. Sharp edges, bevels and the direction of the brushing are kept as TAG Heuer made them. Deep dents can’t always be removed without changing the shape, and some coated or printed surfaces can’t be polished. We tell you honestly what can be achieved before we start.
- Send us the reference and photos. The front, the sides and the bracelet, so we can see the marks.
- We confirm the price and the result. What can be improved, what’s best left, and the exact price, in writing.
- We refinish it. Brushed and polished surfaces restored, then cleaned and inspected.
- It comes home insured. By insured delivery.

Questions people askStraight answers before you send anything
Questions
TAG Heuer polishing and refurbishment questions
How much does TAG Heuer polishing cost?
From £120 including VAT for the case, £130 for the bracelet only, and from £185 for the case and bracelet together. We confirm the price in writing before we start.
Can every scratch be removed?
Not always. Removing deep marks can change the shape of the case, so we aim for a balanced finish and tell you before we start what’s realistic.
Will polishing ruin the edges of my watch?
No. The work is done by a WOSTEP qualified refurbisher who keeps the original edges, bevels and brushing direction.
Can a bezel be polished?
Plain metal can. Printed, engraved or coated bezels can be damaged by polishing, so we check first. See bezel replacement.
Can I have it done with a full service?
Yes, and it’s a sensible time to do it. Ask when you send your watch in for a full service.
Free, no obligation. A watchmaker replies the same working day.
